Title: They say old man cars !

if they are i rather be old i think

Post by: bob.dent on 24 October 2006, 12:24:58: I think that over the years, large luxury cars have always been associated with "older" men that are reasonably high earners and probably with a large house and kids that were growing up. Generally the costs involved in buying, running and insuring such cars were fairly prohibitive to the less fortunate. Younger high earners would probably go for sportier type cars as it's likely they wouldn't yet have their own families and went for the image.

These days when most working people earn a much better wage it's not so much of a problem to run a large luxury car, but the stigma remains.

Just my honest opinion ::)

How VERY true. When me and the ex missus used to get stuck behind a dawdler she always used to say "I bet he/she is wearing a hat"........and sure enough!! ::)

No, im only 17 and three quarters and Ronnie McB is only 8, although we are both subject to quite a lot of VAT :D

"In a recent online survey of Omega Owners, only 1 out of 16 who completed the survey admitted to being old! It is therefore concluded that

1) Omega's are not an old person's car
or
2) Some people are lying about their age
or
3) Old people can't use computers

Ive always looked alot older than I am and when I was in school it was great because I could get a pint at the age of 15 but now I am old I look very old :( ;D
