Immediately prior to our extended stay at Newent, we spent nine nights at Minehead accompanied by our two youngest grandsons, bless 'em!

Whilst Mrs Seth and 5 year-old Jack negotiated every ice cream vendor and crazy golf course at Minehead, 8 year-old Morgan and I spent a few hours quality time together visiting this 'Aladdin's Cave'. With the TD otherwise commandeered by the good woman, we caught the bus for the spectacular journey over the Brendon Hills to the rugged Exmoor coast - excellent value at six quid return for the two of us!
Some photos of our foray:

Here's the place - located right in the centre of Porlock on the A39

"Any chance that we can have a test-drive, please mister?"
He's definately got that Arfur Daley pose!

The spirited outward journey was aboard this 1994 former Stagecoach Group fully-automatic Volvo B10M from Steve Morris' Quantock Motor Services fleet.

The little lad managed to bag the front seats on the top deck of this Scania Omnidekka for our return to Minehead.
It's 11-litre motor and fully-auto transmission made light work of the 1 in 4 gradient of Porlock Hill.
And a few more holiday snaps:

Here's our trusty steed at Selworthy Beacon overlooking the Bristol Channel.
The Vale of Glamorgan on the South Wales coastline is just visible across the sea.

Looks like my grandson and I were among the last visitors to the museum at Porlock.
