Just got the Miggy back after major surgery. Battery was off it for a couple of weeks. Thought it would be the same procedure as with the MFL. Switched radio on and it was fine. Hit the CD button.... 'No Disc'.. Oh yes there is. Ejected magazine, checked discs, inserted magazine. 'No discs'. Instructions in Audio Manual, coding on page 9. So I assumed it must be same procedure for all systems. Switched ignition on, switched radio off, held AS button down, switched radio on and waited for beep, and waited, and waited, and...... Message keeps flashing.. 'RADIO SAFE'. Tried again, this time after a lengthy pause, although there was no display asking for code, I started to put code in. Obviously no good. The radio works fine, and I can play CD's if I hit the CDC button, but there is no response to the steering wheel controls, and continuously there is a beep and up comes the 'RADIO SAFE'... Any help greatly appreciated..... :y

Was it saying "Radio Safe" before you did the procedure with the AS button?
There is *NOTHING* you can do, as a driver, to enter the code - the NCDC series doesn't work that way.
In the first instance, I'd be inclined to press and hold CLEAR for 7s.
If that doesn't get rid of the Radio Safe messages, pull the unit out for an hour.
Beyond that, I think you need a trip to Brackley :'(

Hi TB, yes, it was showing 'RADIO SAFE' from initially switching on.. Haven't had time to try anything else today, after seeing to the missus I'll see if I have time ?? Hmmmm! Brackley ?? Don't like curry, don't drink. :-\ Still offering ???.. ;)

Brackley may well be your best bet TBH :-\ :-\
He also enjoys the odd cup of tea and a chinwag so all is not lost ;)

I thought the SAFE message indicated the unit had depaired itself and was beyond repair ?
Mine was similar, and had to be scrapped.Or maybe Im missing something,I dont think I will ever have the patience for those confounded ncdc units.Ime every time you touch them or unplug them they develop a new fault.

Yeah, I remember yours. Like this one, it depends which device is causing the problem. The message gives a clue (but not definative, but narrows it down).
As the OP isn't that far from me, its feasible he may pass one day, and I'm more than willing to have a look - if we can fix it, happy days. I have also managed to get some more spares earlier in the summer, courtesy of Mr RobG. Getting usable spares for these units will soon mean I can't do much with these units soon.
