Standard breaking auction, driven plod ones. Unless it has an LSD fitted. No different to an MV6

Meant from driving perspective, but yes, less kit than a GLS  ;D

 :o   ;D  , Only 4 Good reason i can think of that would justify buying a ex-Police..

1. If it Has all the police decals still on with lights  ::)

2. Only way to get a 3.2 with a manual which could be converted to MV6/Elite Spec if the ££££ allows.. ;)

3. LSD Fun ideal cheap track drift car if your into that sort of thing..

4. Take the best bits you want off it to put on yours..

1. Decals are removed, before it leaves the Police, as are lights & other toys

2. Possible but a lot of work, easier to add manual box to MV6/Elite

3. LSD not fitted to all plod, only a few had them.

4. LSD + gearbox only useful bits, maybe HIDs too

I miss my 2.2 manual sometimes, I think with the 4 pot manual makes sense. But with 3.2 auto suits it best, just style of engine I think

Just poorly cleaned, no decals :)

Sometimes a siren is left on, odd bit. But generally de-branded

Is this the Simon who used to be on this site?
I only met him once at a meet opposite Josh's in Oxford and he does look familiar.

I have three ex-Police cars, two white and one sort of Aubergine colour. They're just like any other Omega B really, except with less toys - which suits me. The whole point of driving is to Drive, so labour-saving devices are not allowed in my cars.

they are serviced frequently, but any other work will be done poorly at best and dangerously at worst. Assume that it will have had numerous sets of front-end panels on, too.

On the transmission front, I have yet to see an Omega B Police car with LSD. And two of mine were automatic when I got them.

One i drove, was ex-firearms I think. Bright red, straight away you can tell it had an LSD. Off the line, the ratio was quite noticeable, even just driving normally around a roundabout, you could feel it.

Trouble is most will have been "well used" by now  :(

I was going to ask if that was our old mucker Simon.

Mate of mine has a fully kitted V70 T5, he's put it back into service-spec... just don't ask how much two sides of battenburg cost...

Mine is basically a manual Elite minus sunroof/NCDC. No real effort involved :y Seats are a damn site lighter than the gearbox ::)
