I like that very much, must say staying with old cars and DIY is more tempting that getting new cars!

One of the only BMWs I would be seen behind the wheel of. ;) Very nice. :y
-
Very noticeable how much more rubber there is on the wheel rims of an older car. And almost no tint on the windows. :y

One of the very first B's . 59 K miles garaged every night since I bought it , kept in a dehumified & air filtered chamber for last 15 years ,literally a suitcase of history .

Thanks for the comments re the BMW lads .
I'm looking forward to getting back home and commencing fettling it up to standard.
It's a 628 which has the smaller 2.8 engine instead of the larger 3.5. Academic really as it's a cruiser and the roads down here don't cater for 135 MPH cars .....
Got some subtle plans for it inc OE option front and rear spoilers , a set of 16inch ,maybe 17inch, style 5 BBS wheels but nothing gaudy and a sensible width, and possibly OE option body decals and that'll be it .
Anyway just got to get it back now ::)
-
Have to say its a nice looking car :y :y
-
think Elite Pete fancied a Manta? :-\
He'd break it ;D

BM looks mint, you did well there :y And the Manta is the dogs ;)

Always liked the manta, yours is stunning. There's a guy in town got one the same colour as yours but nowhere near as nice. Nice BMW as well :y

I tell you the truth Cam , the last time the Manta was in Dumfries was on the way to see the Ark Royal being towed in to be broken up at Cairnryan which is nearly 32 years ago to the day,( 28-9-80 ) spooky eh ! ;D
-
Love those 6-series BM's, always wanted an M635 CSi. Yors looks absolutely mint, well done :y

And that was the last I saw of it. :(

Oh dear ............ :'(
Those wheels are style 5 BBS split rims from the later e39 5 series , highly sought after and valuable , about 500 sterling valuable for the wheels alone...... :(

I can only assume that the owner died or something, because the car always used to be imaculate. Then it just sat there and never moved until the windows were smashed. :'(

I assume he lived opposite :-\. I live a few miles away, but use the road to get to the M65
