Got chance of some barely used self levelling springs, the current ones on the Elite (non SL as far as I know) are shot. If I use them with standard shocks, will they be too soft? Bare in mind my driving style is not that of a certain cubby little admin, I'm quite relaxed behind the wheel & don't throw it about like some ::)
The SL shocks on the Elite were junked as they were shot as well, as I had a pair of brand new un-used standard shocks I stuck them on. If the shocks were old as well, would stick the springs on the later change the shocks. But as these shocks are less than 12 months old, by the time they need replacing so will the springs.
For the cheapness, wondering if its worth chucking the SL springs on. :-\
That said it does ride low at the back with both springs intact, wondering if current ones are SL, which explains low rear ride height :-\

current ones are normal ones, removed from my mv6 last year, as they were saggy. Kyb.

Free lowering kit though, does make it look good :D
Given my driving style, probably worth sticking those SL ones on

not convinced how they would work with normal shocks

Sorry I'm a bit lost, it's been a long week.
SL springs with standard shocks will be shite.
Either buy standard springs to go with the standard shocks...
Or
Buy SL shocks to go with the SL springs. Although SL shocks work well with standard, or any other, spring. But then again if you don't need SL at all, bin it, as the dampers are a little hindered by the bladders. But then again, our dear Tunnie won't notice any of that any way. ...or will he... Are you happy with the way the car drives...?

Totally happy with current handling, I know its not a direct comparison as an Estate handles differently anyway, but I do notice how much extra wallow is on the Elite Estate which has SL.
Happy stay without SL as I don't tow & its very rare it has any significant weight in the boot
