for some fish and chips and a pint along with a run round the country side and whilst on a mile long straight was blessed with seeing a HS Black Magic giving it the beans comeing towards me, sounded bloody awsome. ::) :P :D
Might it belong to anyone on the forum by any chance.

Assume it was a replica of some sort,as iirc there was only one made. The slant 4 with big carbs and a decent exhaust did song a wonderful tune. :y

Ahhhhhh
Might have been a Chevette HSR looking at the info, cant remember if it had the skirt or the wide body, saw the air dam, black paint work and the red pin stripes under the windows . Focused more on the noise and it buzzed past me though. :y

HSR (there were 50 of them made) were all in silver. Afaik, the one in the pic is either the original black magic VX styling exercise (by Wayne Cherry iirc) or an HSR sprayed black.I could be wrong though. This is all from distant memory.
I wouldnt be surprised if there are a few replicas around as the bodykit etc. was available at the time, and quite a few people built up cars (usually with a single cam 2.3 engine) with all the bits on. These are often wrongly advertised as HS or HSR,s,as they are a 2.3 and look the part, but there were only 400 HS,s and 50 HSR,s produced by VX.
