got my fingers crossed and putting up a wanted ad, need a radiator for a 3.2 auto? can collect if local and already of the vehicle.
also can anybody advise if the radiator only has a numeric part number or has letters too please.. Sam :y
-
forgot to add vehicle does have A/C too thanks..
-
I have one from a 3.0 auto here Stallion. If someone can confirm thats the same (I think it is) I can sell you that one. :y
-
was just about to bother you ;D i dont even know what the actual part number is for it either to compare?? :-\
-
Albs, just make sure you breaker has a seperate autobox oil cooler, and the aux electric water pump attached to the rad fan cowling. If it does, the rad will fit Sam's car perfectly. :y
-
It doesnt have the seperate cooler, but iirc the 2.6/3.2 rads still have the inbuilt cooler, they just dont use it. ;)
-
You may well be right. I'd need to have a look at mine in daylight to be sure. :-\
-
Dont they have torches in Naarfik ? :P ;D ;D

Only the early ones ;)

Yeah, but only solar powered ones! :D
Since you asked so nicely, I've just been and had a look... ::)
I can't see any blanks where the pipes would connect to mine. :-\ That's not to say your rad won't be ok for Sam, but it might have slightly less capacity that a proper 3.2 one.
In fact, IIRC I helped P6UL K out of a muddle with a rad from a MFL V6 with built-in intercooler for his 3.2 manual. :y

My 02 3.2 breaker had red plastic blanking caps for the transmission cooler. :-\
Well, thats made everything as clear as mud. ;D ;D

Could well have been a replacement. Genuine rads for late model 2.6/3.2 don`t have the in-built coolers
-
What year is your car Sam? IIRC it's not a really late 3.2. So following Rob's advice, you may well find that Albs' rad will be a direct replacement. :y
-
Yep.Best Sam has a look or posts a pic of the o/s of the rad.I will also have a look for a part number on mine. :y
-
Im still tryingto make sense of the conversation on here ???

The one I have has auto oil cooler built into one side and that one doesnt.I think the likely hood is,it wont make any difference, but best to be certain before deciding.I will get a couple of pics of mine tomorrow and maybe we can post both on the forum and ask advice. :y
-
Think the oil cooler was on the opposite side of the fans, but that was taken off so could get a clear pic of the brackets/holes without that in site! il wait to see the pics u upload? :y
-
The built in oil cooler makes no odds ;) I fitted a brand new one for about £80 and they shipped it with the built in cooler (even though I ordered one for a manual so no cooler ::)) but it fits and cools perfectly :y

Swotifot. Thanks LD. :y
