Title: Panel Preservation
Post by: waspy on 23 September 2012, 16:49:17
I've recently acquired a brand new Monaro bonnet. I plan on storing it for as long as is needed (probably never).
It's in black primer, but i would like to know if i need to preserve it in any way!! It will either be used or sold on & obviously painted in the future.
I thought about Waxoil or something similar, but what I use will have to be removed for painting. Any ideas please?

I've seen panels just left in storage that have rust coming through & I would like to avoid this.

We use something lie this to preserve highly polished injection moulds http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aerosol-Solutions-M-S-c-Mould-Protection-CLEAR-400ml-Aerosol-Spray-/120795783476?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c1ffd6134 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aerosol-Solutions-M-S-c-Mould-Protection-CLEAR-400ml-Aerosol-Spray-/120795783476?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1c1ffd6134)  ;)
