Old plug is up behind Bank 2/4/6, behind/below the multiram solenoid. Run the OOF way. Can leave old sensor/wiring in place until you get home.
Yellow circle is new plug location, blue arrow points to there you move part of loom from behind Bank 2/4/6 and bring it out halfway along cabletray.

Red line/arrow shows route of where wire (arrowed in blue above) comes out of cabletry.

Yours won't have the red LPG injectors, or the associated gas pipes, but the vac pipe that is screwed into plenum will be present to give you an idea of location.

Oh Dear... Guessing the Pikey Pensioner has a crank shaft sensor to change ???

And on the 2.6/3.2 you will need to modify the cable try to make an exit for the cable feeding the crank sensor (as there is no idle valve and hence no exit as standard)

Ah, interesting, something I need to remember, as my 3.2 still has the sensor on the original route.
Assuming I ever get around to putting the cable tray back on ::)

Replaced the crank sensor today, thanks.
Kinda cheated a bit from the guide though.
Took off the plastic ecotec breather on top of the plenum as well as the vacuum hose on the right side and pulled them and the multiram pipes carefully to the side. That gave enough room for even my sausage finger hands to get to the connector.
I took the cover off the cable tray then released the sensor cable back and routed it back out the main inlet to the cable tray, up and arouns the oil filler neck, then out towards where it is in your recommended position.
Routed the new cable almost straight down behind the brake pipes into the ABS block and under the main loom where it goes through the bulkhead atop the chassis leg.
It gives pretty much the correct angle for the sensor going into the block at the oil filter.
Was kinda in a rush to be ahead of the weather but will take pics later and post them up, perhaps even a modified 'howtoo' if there is a need. :y

Will take some happy snaps when time and circumstances permit and put finger to keyboard. :)
