hi have managed to sort several issues with my vauxahll including how to open the bonnet when cable snapped.
however still have issue with a very loud grinding nosie when whenever i turn right. i have taken of both front wheels and checked to make sure nothing rubbing, i have also checked both front and back of the brake discs to make sure nothing rubbing there and nothing, has anyone got any idea's, car due for MOT soon and i don't want any problems, so would like to resolve first.

Any rubbing marks on the shock body?

wheel bearing?
this only happens when i turn right, doesn't happen at any other time, could it still be the wheel bearing

I second TheBoy. Have you checked the wheel bearing? Yes, likely to be when turning one direction.

...because this would indicate excess camber, or tyre rim protection or both, and the tyre rubbing on the shock.

Wheel bearing easy enough to check :y
Just jack up each front wheel and give it a good spin :y the noise the bearing makes is distictively different from the pads rubbing. A faint whirr is normal, but anything heading towards a deep rumble is not :y

Also check the track rod end is fitted correctly, if its on the wrong way round it rubs on the wheel rim when on lock
