Nope as the wiring goes to Amp before speakers, its all or nothing with the Bose setup Im afraid, if you wanted to cheat on the wiring, you could start on the pin outs by the drivers foot well and run the the new wiring from there.

Probably HU and CD Changer if yours isn't working, if your happy with the sound, the HU would need to be a Bose flavour for it work in yours.

Not quite true actually. The large Bose loom connects to the drivers footwell connector as do the speaker connections and radio/head unit. The line out from the Bose head/radio uses the pins usually used by the speaker connections on non-Bose cars.

On non-Bose cars with CD Changer there are 8 loop back wires that link the speakers to the head unit - these are clearly shown in the Haynes manual. Cars without CD changer don't have this - but then again wouldn't have Bose anyway.

So, armed with this info you could remove the Bose speakers & Bose amp, make the appropriate loopbacks and away you go as the output connections on the radio/head unit WILL be connected into the doors ready for your new speakers. The CD Changer loom could be used to provide this for you.

If you think about it this is the way that Bose can be added to an MV6 or CDX "just" by plugging it all in - as a number of OOFers have done over the years.

Hope that all makes sense.

Looping does work, but tbh how long will you run it looped, before the speakers get toasted!  :y
