Title: Cam Cover sealant
Post by: amba on 08 October 2012, 16:42:49
When applying the black sealant to the rear half moons and each corner of the front on the cam covers ,is it necessary for this to be squashed out with your finger to cover the entire section or is just a 5mm bead ok ?

A 5 mm bead would be more than enough for the half moons. You just need a smear on the front corners, too much & there's an oil way/return ( :-\) you'll block if you use too much.  ;)

So after squeezing from the tube you should smear it abit with your finger  ;D

Wasnt sure if it was just ok with a "worm like " application center of the point where the gasket sat
