BBC South Today, or the weatherman anyway, actually acknowledged that that there is life beyond Hampshire. He actually even managed to name some inland towns.
I expect normal service will be resumed tomorrow.

Yup. BBC Oxford local news is South Today (after about 10 seconds of blondie from Grove). In the mornings, its purely from Southampton, Early Evening its about 2 mins of Oxford, then flicks over to South Today.

I distinctly heard him mention The Land of the Inbreds (locals will know what I mean), and Aylesbury. Both more than 80 miles inland.

Best will in the world, South, is nowhere near "Arxford" so you've no chance in Brackley. None. Reading is barely in the south catchment. Meridian?
Can you not get Booers Today? :-\
