Is it possible to get stronger Sway bars to a 3.0l omega?

Powerflex do some poly bushes for the mounting if it just needs tightening up a bit :y even new ones from VX are relatively cheap and can make a noticable difference if yours have done some miles :y

I asked about thicker anti roll bars when I first drove my prefacelift Mv6, it used to almost fall over in the bends, I was told ALL omegas use the same spec anti roll bar...

I know that on some of the older, fwd Vx.'s, they used to use different roll bars to stiffen up the sportier models.

I'm sure eibach used to make omega roll bars, not certain though.

Firmer springs already fitted...?

Eibach makes strut braces for mounting over the engine, i allready have this
And i have fitted kw v2, but it's still at it's softest setting

I'd be reluctant to eliminate too much roll, you need to load the outside tyres to maintain grip levels.

Although obviously I'm making assumptions on your current issues.

Going by the spec v2 is adjustable for rebound only. So adjustment won't help body roll.

Hence your question I suppose. ...?

I'd be concerned at reducing roll too much, as you'll likely bugger up handling. The suspension geometry is set for a certain amount of roll.

As for a brace, given the rigidity of the chassis, not sure the benefit gains would be enough to compensate the outlay, which could be spent elsewhere  :-\ - apologies if its a show car :y

But i'm just wondering if it's possible to get a bigger sway bar/anti roll bar for this car

What do you mean about buggering up the handling?
The strut brace made a big difference to the handling

The strut brace made a big difference to the handling
Its quite easy to make it go from a car that can go around corners at speed, to one that that doesn't (you can make it quite skittish, and actually less capability to carry speed in a bend).

Nope, up stroke is compression damping.

Down stroke is rebound damping. If you wind too much rebound restriction on, the wheel won't return to the ground quick enough AFTER its hit a bump. So outside wheel will be affectively off the ground in extreme cases, so the tyre will spin and cut up badly. The inside wheel will be less loaded and as another down side, could in extreme cases pump itself into full compression as the stroke can't recover.

Your also into high and low speed compression damping to sort roll. Increasing compression damping stiffens the up stroke. So will reduce roll, but at the expense of ride over small bumps within the corner, and to a lesser extent, at all other times.

In short, if it's genuinely rolling too much you need stiffer springs. ESP in the absence of a stiffer roll bar, which would appear to be the case.

Tbh it should be possible to achieve all you need with springs and dampers.

Is there a problem with body roll? How much roll would you consider acceptable? Zero roll is not healthy it seems to me. I'd expect other ares to be heavily compromised tbh.
