Hope these make sence,
During normal driving I have to press the accelerator pretty much all the way down to the floor before the car picks up. Anyone had this before or any checks i can do as also when in 1st gear I seem to need more revs to pull away. Accelerator pedal seems fine to look at ?
Im thinking possilbly a clutch issue but that appears fine, only other thing is gearbox as i notce my gearknob shakes a fair bit ( but no crunches etc ) I have heard a faint whine but surley the gearbox wouldnt cause the above.
Cheers

Is the turbo spinning up?

I was not aware that a astra GTE was a 2,2 dti
1.6 1,8 petrol I think
-
Most commonly GTEs had 2 lit petrol lumps as well as early 1.8s - was also a 1.7 lit diesel variant I believe.
Think the op is asking about an Omega 2.2 dti ;)

Just had a similar problem on a friend’s 2.2DTI, check the vacuum pipes to the turbo (one was split at the rubber end) and the intercooler hoses for splits (it may not be instantly noticeable so try getting someone to press the accelerator whilst you check for air leaks), I also needed to replace the CPS (this was the main fault on my friend’s car).
Hope this is of assistance
Goz :) :D :o
