Title: coil pack

Today had the job of removing the coil pack after i had a bad misfire and then runing very bad on my mv6 3.0 what a nightmare of a job anyway i removed the air chamber just to get a bit more room undone the 4 bolts holding it on well undone 3 of them and 1 snapped but then i had a nightmare getting it out after 10 mins out it come i have put some pics of it and a ht lead that just fell apart so i hope the new one will solve my problems

Just waiting for the new one to turn up and get it back on the road

That must have been some pretty mega misfire. ;D

You are welcome to have my old dispack (90541062) if you need a an interim fix? TB looked at it and said it was worth replacing but you can take a chance if need be. I had it at the oxford meet :'(, but my work colleague lives in chippers so i'm sure we could sort out a courier if need be?

You are welcome to have my old dispack (90541062) if you need a an interim fix? TB looked at it and said it was worth replacing but you can take a chance if need be. I had it at the oxford meet :'(, but my work colleague lives in chippers so i'm sure we could sort out a courier if need be?
Hi thanks for the offer i already have one in the post be here tomorrow so i hope i will be back on the road then. :)

quit strange it was runing ok up until saturday night on my way home from work i had a couple of misfires then i got home i parked up all ok then i went to the shops and it wouldnt hardly run so got it back home turned it off then tryed to restart it and it wouldnt start i was gutted as i was going to the club meating at oxford sunday so that put pay to that afternoon out.

I have an intermittent misfire on LPG,so I suspect mine is going the same way.Must have a look one of these days. :-\

i wouldnt leave it to long or it might not get you home.  :D

Especially since I've already given him a new replacement coilpack too!  ::)

I was amazed it was still going with that on it still it got me home now just waiting for the new one to turn up  :y

Check your scuttle for leakage , dont want to be replacing that again  :y

I had a horrible thought that it might have been my fault after I suggested bringing one along to the meet :-\

At least you now know that was the problem :y

Especially since I've already given him a new replacement coilpack too!  ::)

But I dont drive the Omega very often,therefore I keep forgetting about it. :D

Besides,if it gets really bad I could switch to petrol to get me home.I sometimes have up to 20 miles worth in the tank. :y ;D

All done back on the road and i must say its a diferent animal alltogether well pleased only problem i have is the temp guadge is not working and i think its my fault i have conected a plug wrong will have a look tomorrow  :y

Temp gauge is fed from a single prong spade connector on the coolant bridge pipe in the V - if you've been furgling around back there with the DIS it's easy to disturb (and probably infinitely harder to find again by feel!)
