Well its time for 4 new tyres and I'm not sure which are best for a heavy car like the Omega. I Have Falken FK452's on the TVR and the Golf and they perform very well, but neither of them are particularly heavy cars. Anyone tried the Falkens, or give me some advice on which tyres suit the Omega best...
Cheers

goodyear f1's easily the best overall for price/grip and wear, really suit the omega
-
Yep I am on my second lot of Falkens.
Ist set lasted 25k+ (they were on the car when I bought it - I then did 25k on them before replacing with more Falkens last year).
Paid about £60 a corner for them.
I've also used Khumho's in the past and rate them too.

camskill is an excellent site, cheaper than buying direct from Falken ! Nice one !

whereabouts are you bigdods?

I used to run Kumho's on the front, in a 17. Found them really god in the wet. They didn't let go at all on a seriously wet nurburgring - which says something to me.
Through the mountains in the south of France they squeeled a little and started to give up, but i did generate some severe heat in them whilst playing around the twisties keeping with my mates in an Evo6 and an M3.
I'll be using them again when I get my Steinmetz refurbed.

Currently running Falken FK452's on mine for the last year although fronts need replacing soon, but I think thats down to alignment issues which I'm getting sorted out shortly. Got them at a pretty good price from tyretraders.co.uk :y

Brackley - Once I have 4 new tyres its off to WIM for a full geo setup as all 4 tyres are getting scrubbed in most peculiar ways!
-
Not sure if WIM do tyres as well - may be able to do you a deal if so?
-
I put GSD1 or whatever they are Eagles on in November and while I still have tramlining issues (caused by what I suspect is still a badly set up geometry) the tyres themselves have lots of grip, wet or dry. Not had any understeer at all.
-
Eagle F1's. never had a better tyre on a car. Had Pirelli's on when I got it, and it slid all over the place in the wet ..!
Might try Falken next :-)
