I've tried looking at a couple of theatre sites which come up with a message to change browser to an up to date one to access the site. I think I currently use IE7. I am thinking of putting in Firefox, what would be your choice and why ??? :)
For me ease of use is better, only want to access Favourites, Mail, and Web site search now't fancy ;D

I tend to use Google Chrome, or Internet Explorer.
-
I use Chrome as well, wait for the comments :D
-
I have tried Chrome and it is good, but I prefer Opera.
-
FireFox and Chrome :)
-
Shouldn't be using IE7 now. IE8 is the minimum.

I prefer the security of IE for a day-to-day browser
-
Think I'l go with IE 9 for now and play with the others later, better the devil etc :y
-
If the machine is up to date, good spec, etc, then IE9, having said that, something like a simple Atom Netbook etc will struggle and or be sluggish with IE9, so chrome or firefox.
-
I've been using Chrome recently as it seems much quicker than IE.
There are a couple of funny things on this site though, some of the avatars like Chrisgixer's run much faster and this guy's eyes :D have gone ballistic!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Using Firefox as Chrome has not been updating for some reason
And without last weeks critical updates, Chrome has the security of a 1980s Ford. Actually, even with the updates, it probably still has ;D
-
Chrome as faster than IE and is now the most popular browser, so it makes sense to develop for this and then fix the IE incompatibilities.
-
Chrome is the most popular browser for a reason, I love it's synced bookmarks. Works with ease, any device, any OS, sync it up and it's all there.

Take out Android, and Chrome is still niche ;)

The only reason Chrome is faster is because it comes with zero plugins, install the same plugins that you allow IE to use and Chrome will start to slow down as well.

Intalled IE 9 perfectly happy, fast enough for me with sub second response time :y :y :y
Might try Chrome tp play about with.

If you do, remember to update it at least weekly, as security wise, it has more holes than John McClane's string vest. Not a week has gone by this year when a major, remotely exploitable flaw has been found, allowing the baddies to own your machine.
-
FF has better security than Chrome (ignoring last week's SNAFU), if you want to try an alternative.
Currently, for the most secure browser (based on in-the-wild exploits in the last year), IE wins hands down.

I do have a habit of damaging explorer frequently.. so firefox is my back up..unfortunately sometimes a proper repair requires full system rebuild >:( friday night explorer was damaged so badly that even firefox refused to work.. I think tcp was totally donald.. because I was not able to ping even my router ;D I guess the result to be expected as my explorer was repaired more than 10 times in last 3 months with most add ons disabled and re-installing bit torrent was the last nail on coffin.. :(
ps: so explaining my views about explorer wont be objective.. however, firefox mostly runs the pages better.. dont know why ;D

Thanks TB I am happy with IE and will not be playing around :y
-
Firefox for me - failing that IE9
