Not long left in them then :'( my originals managed about 150k... :-X

But it is a valid point, if the car is a keeper and you can stomach VX prices then new genuine ones are actually reasonable value for money given just how long they last :y

A good compromise is refurb the current wishbones, rear bush and balljoint about £80 per side, (similar price to Lemforder wishbones), and a pair of front poly bushes are about £35 :y

Last time I had new tyres @ 135k up in the air at WIM, asked them to check, they were still good!

Just because they are still there doesn't mean that they work ::) unless they're so old that they've gone hard...

If you are thinking of fitting poly bushes I have a pair of used (sh@gged front bushes) wishbones that you can have gratis to refurb if you are anywhere near leicester. I changed mine for Lemforder units earlier this year, to soon to tell how long they last but originals lasted 110K .

Fit the original stuff (or OEM if you prefer)...these were made by Lemforder and fitting them has transformed my omo .... Don't buy Delpji as I did previously as they didn't last long

Buy the Lemforders....got them from Allgermanparts at £65 each with free postage on a pair

I never looked back

Get the longest lever you can find, put one end in to the hole in the centre of the wishbone from above, and as much weight as you can muster on tother end :y make sure the pin of the ball joint is pointing outwards.

Bit fiddly locating the ball joint single handed, so get the pennies ready for the swearbox :y
