I'm sure many here will remember the handgun being reclassified as a prohibited weapon after Thomas Hamilton ran amok with one a few years ago in Dunblane.
Now that another f**ktard has gone on an attempted kiling spree in Cardiff and chosen a car to do it, are we going to make it illegal to own a car just in case someone else decides to do the same in the future?

Think it was a white van man, so yes ban all "white van men" ;D ;D

without exception all white vans here flat out no matter how the traffic is >:(

Depends on the van, but there is only one way to drive a van. Flat out. It's all about momentum. A millisecond of closed throttle can mean having to drop down 1 or sometimes 2 gears.

...and I thought it was assault rifles that where banned. Ak's and the like? Or was that after Hungerford? :-\

I used to have an off-white tranny. Pedal through the floor everywhere. Enough road presence that the 'tards in Chavaliers and Sierras (nowadays would be beemers and audis) got out of your way.

Hungerford was responsible for the likes of AK's being banned Chris, the handgun (eg, Browning 9mm) became prohibited after the second (Dunblane) episode.
Either way the handgun ban had sod all effect in real life, in fact, gun crime rose by a whopping 400% in the first year AFTER the handgun ban became law.
My original post was nothing more than a pi$$ take at how we deal with things in life to be honest.
My own personal opinion is that if we are retarded enough to believe that making the handgun illegal will make all the gangsters drop their weaponary overnight, then it should naturally follow that making the car illegal will stop any prospective individual that suffers from mental health issues from considering using a car as a weapon in the future.

Is that an admission to buying an eastern european rent boy who had a prediliction for cross dressing? ;D ;D

Don't suggest it - someone in government might hear you and take you seriously! ;D

Oh don't worry, although I didn't comment on your point, I see exactly what your saying, and agree fully.
Idiotic legislation being seen to do something, however inappropriate... Ah, that's sorted then.
Gun, car, knife, chain saw, sord, a brick, a boot... Whatever. The only common is the unhinged human. But we won't worry about those, Aye!
