This sort of stuff is not uncommon and the only thing we can do is to have a set of rules every time we get out of the cab. The cost and effort for the victim can be immense. In this case, you were caught unaware, the engine needs to be running... but you will not let it happen to you again, no doubt. In my case, although I was not driving that day, the company vehicle was raided and a key set stolen. Given that the logo is plastered all over the vehicle, it probably wouldn't have taken too many brain cells to work out what the keys were for. You can imagine the cost of sorting that one! Be aware!

It`s more common then you can imagine.
a certain element of society leach off the rest of us.
Your sat-nav is the cost of a round of drinks tonight for that toe-rag thieve.
Do we security mark stuff anymore?
Or wll they nick my stuff & then knock on my door for more of the same.

Has it got your home address saved in it ?
If so, make sure your house is kept secure ;)

my home address is set for half a mile down the road,
I have heard of cars being stolen in town, they know you are not at home, so turn the house over too.

That's why I still use AtoZ or download a street map on the computer for an unknown destination for work..... :y :y
I may have missed something as I do not have a sat nav nor ever used one but why would you need to put where you live into it ??? ??? ??? I know where I live and could get home from any point in the country, let alone work..... :D :D :D
