Title: New sky+ app
Post by: feeutfo on 26 October 2012, 16:27:02
...ror iPad. Saw the tv advet today. Looks handy, with some pause and rewind functions.

Tunnie, you need to keep us abreast of these things.  ::) Luckily, for you, not me, the software isn't available for my Samsung box yet.  :'(

I would but often the threads turn into a "slag off Sky thread"  ::)

But yes, its called Superplanner, you do also need the network hub box, to connect the set top box into the interwebs. Its also featuring some zeebox integration which adds some more features too.

Those same features are coming to iPhone, as I just put some files on a particular server that team need.

Shamess plug for anyone out there, you might be interested in this:

http://www.nowtv.com/home (http://www.nowtv.com/home)

Its been built & powered by Sky, it has the same films database. Its available on the xBox & the streams are in HD (well H264) its £8.99 now but usually £15.

Yes its more than Netflix, but it has much better films.

I borrowed a login & "tested" it at home, streams are impressive. Although the interface could be improved in my opinion.

I don't know why you might think that ::) ;D

...no, I meant every word, for once.

I've had sky for years, and hope to keep it for a good few more. Technology and quality.
Love it. :y

Yep, thumbs up for sky from me too.  :y Couldn't do without it now. Couple of mates have free view only and IMO, it just crap.

Does that mean I can watch something like Frankenweenie right now, or will that only be avaialable 6 months after the likes of Blockbuster have released it on Blu-ray in proper HD (as it is now)?
Also, will that stream include the 5.1 soundtrack or will it be the usual 2 channel stereo that Sky (and Virgin, Netflix, et al) users are mugged off with now?

Now works on the gay phone. Remote control iPhone. Smart.

Works better than the crappy remote control box I had for exactly this purpose. :y

Nice one sky. :)

Sorry must have missed this, think the streams are still 2 channel. Although the bitrate is higher on NowTV, that SkyGo i've noticed.

I really, really, REALLY do fail to see why anyone would want to watch telly on a phone. I just don't get it.

All those on GiffGaff are up in arms because they have a limit of 1Gb on the £10 a month bundle, because they can't watch Sky Go all day long (well, pay the extra £2 for unlimited data then, rather retards ;D).  I really can't see it.

If I'm honest though, I never use SkyGo or the other App i showed you.

But I think people who follow transvestites on a field football, find it fantastic
