I finally got the car back together after fitting a new drivers side exhaust manifold gasket, hadn't tightened up the coolant bridge properly so coolant pissed everywhere over the back of the engine first time round.
Sadly she is not happy at all and there was a lot of smoke on start up from both sides of the engine bay, I think this is bloody leaves stuffed round the manifolds as the buggers were blowing everywhere yesterday , got everywhere and it is getting less the longer it idles.
So now I have a fairly lumpy idle, eggy smell from the exhaust and it doesn't particularly want to rev up cleanly. I consider my self pretty competent with the spanners but this job has taken days and I am proper demoralised by it. Not sure my beloved miggy will pull through :'(
Inlets went back in ok, all gaskets/O rings are in, everything is plugged back in and as far as I can tell everything looks fine!
Feel free to call me a dick or offer advice, tips etc

sound like an air leak on the intake side to me ,double check all the pipes and check that the plenium seals are in place and not damaged in anyway. also check and clean the icv as this will also cause lumpy idle.
