Very hacked off at the moment just putting my feet up and my bloody television keeps turning it self off and on every 20 seconds or so. its a samsung le37m87bd does anybody have any ideas or is it time for the bin :'( :'( :'(

no one can guarantee the new one wont have problems :-\

Any clicking? Had similar on various electricals. Dry joint on a relay, perhaps, in my extremely limited electrical experience.
Wip the back off and press gently but firmly on various components until it responds as your symptoms, then re solder that part, if possible.

change batteries in the remote, also switch off any energy bulbs as one maybe on its way out and scrotebaging (f lickering) on the standby frequency. also check the plug is in securely

Just been reading up on faults with the samsung tv's. Lots of problems with the tv not coming on but cant see anything about it turning off and on :'(. The only thing I could find says it could be the capasitors(sorry about spelling) If this is the problem would it be a exspensive fix. cant do it myself wouldnt know where to start.
sitting here watching a 12" tv :'( :'( :'(

Just a update to see if anybody can help.. Changed the psu no change to problem have been told its the signal receiving board(what ever that is) Any ideas where I could get it repaired or buy a new one from.

Changed the PSU, the whole board?...for a new one?
The PSU boards have a set of 6 electrolytic caps on them which fail and swell causing similar symptoms.
