I got a ticketed warning a while back for parking over a dropped kerb. (Jobsworthy "Community Enforcement Officer" issued it.)
Is it a case one rule for us and another for them? It's understandable if there was an emergency and nowhere else to park, but there was ample room elsewhere and he just casually parked and strolled off... pure ignorance?

Does seam so, I was tailgated by cop car who did not have his blues and twos on. He was blasting up A4, undertaking and everything. Yet not on a call? :-\

I could write a book on my experiences of things like this... marked cars in disabled bays etc etc. Seen it all!

He's parked about 6 miles out from the kerb as well, he's probably blocked the road.
Ring the police tell them some is blocking your drive, don't mention it's a police car though.

Yes and know. I think they probably do it as a deterrent then if that fails as a means of collecting evidence. I think they need to as well. From the point of view of a runner, pedestrian, occasional cyclist and fire engine driver, car drivers are the worst, wanting to go from a to b without hindrance, thought or care for anyone else.

I wear one because despite a very defensive riding style, lights and obedience to all rules of the road I get knocked off 1-2 times a year. Without camera footage the idiots who over take you before turning left causing you to slam into a side panel will get away with it. Plus when you ride a £2k bike you need to convince the insurance to pay out.

I think everyone should have them that way driving standards might improve, it might even help the road rage I suffer from every now and again :(

Let me get this right....
You openly admit to breaching a minor traffic regulation, yet feel it is right to complain when someone else does the same?
The picture you show (unfortunately) proves nothing on it's own, but if you really feel that aggreived then complain to your local chief inspector.
However the only change you will see is that your name goes down on the computer and you'll get stop/searched a lot more than the next man ;)
If however you really do want to cover everything that happens on the road and be able to show it as it really happens, get yourself a Roadhawk.

well the blokes on the bike is a tit for two reasons firstly i would'nt go knocking on the window of an ARV to complain about the the polices driving and secondly why (when he could have quite easily) moved back over to the left (like the highway code says you should do,it also says you should'nt over take on the left....unless.....not any of the condition that exsisted there) he had ample time to BUT no (and we have all seen it) a push bike in the centre of the road holding traffic thinking it is there god given right tbh the biker is so lucky plod did'nt scoop him up for a bonnet mascot.
in fairness to plod if i had when i worked for the LAS been told to get somewhere on the quick but not on blue lights i think i would have taken that route around him,as if you had sneaked up behind him and given him a blast of the two tones he possibly would have fallen off or even had heart attack lol
but moral of the story is drive on the left and if you see a vehicle with blue on the roof...get out of its way!!!

Agree. Why cyclists feel the need to be in the middle of the bloody road, I will never understand. Pay your tax, get insurance and then expect to be treated equally. London's cycle population are the worst behaved. Slowing everyone else down by riding in the middle of the road, cutting red lights, ignoring signals etc. You can argue that you don't do it yourself, but driving across London everyday I see a lot more misbehaviour from cyclists than ordinary motorists. Prime example being cutting pedestrian crossings and red lights.

looking at that film again i think he stayed in the middle of the road to prove a point to the plod car....thing is he came unstuck as pc plod was on his way to some where/thing and he was'nt hanging around.... :y

I think it was a pretty poor bit of driving by the plod car, to be honest.
Cyclist was in the wrong lane? The Police vehicle was using a bus lane. Funny looking bus, though. So, plod in the wrong lane, in fact.
That aside, you're approaching a cyclist from behind who is, IYHO, "in the wrong lane" (in this case, had moved into that lane, quite within his rights, to avoid stopped vehicles). Wouldn't you anticipate him moving back over to the left hand lane now that he's passed the vehicles? The cyclist had even checked over his left shoulder shortly before he was undertaken. A sure sign that he's about to move over, which a competent driver should have noticed. Was it sensible to undertake him at that sort of speed and leaving so little room, just when he might be about to manoeuvre?
Plod wasn't on blues and twos, and had time to argue to toss once stopped, so no hurry there. ARV or not, he's just another driver with no licence to behave like that.
I'd expect better from a Police driver, TBH. :(

well yes and know kevin tbh i thought cyclist stayed out way too long and i think he was making a statement and he come unstuck...tbh poor riding/driving all round..in the services it is not unheard of (or at least it was'nt when i was in)to be told to make too some where as quick as you can which does not involve using the siren,prehaps he was taking the shortest time between two points a little bit too far,but as the cyclist was making over the shoulder checks he should not fail too see two ton's of silver rangie hairing up on him and if he did miss it god help us all,and we only have footage from the cyclist and not the plod car :y
