Yes, Thats right.
Its looking like the end is nigh for my Omega. A 1996 2.5 V6 CD.

I reversed her into a tree. Been using the car park for years, never seen the tree. There is a lamp post as you turn in, and there are always bits of car around it, and its held together with jubilee clips, but I never noticed the tree. Well, it noticed my f%$@ing car!!!
I think it is clearly a total loss, but depending on what the insurance say, then I may try and retain the vehicle and will break it.
It has Cruise, Climate, Rear Blind, Self Dipping mirror.
Gearbox is good, but the engine has a tapping sound. Cloth interior.

bugger.

Yeah, kinda gutted.
But to be honest was looking at getting another car anyway. Was planning on changing the wishones, and doing the cambelt and then selling.
Guess that stuffed that idea eh?

Doesnt look too bad :-/
Baggsie the the rear dipping mirror ;D .....but it prob wont fit on a facelift... :(
Sorry too see the damage :(

Should have said yesterday, had spare one in the garage, could have tried the mounting...
-
Boot lid, rear bumper and light? If you could get the right coloured boot lid from scrappy would be worth doing
-
The interior trim on the boot is shoved forward, and the spare wheel cover had been pushed back.
The boot no longer closes, the metal clip on the car (not the catch on the lid) doesn't line up. The clip on the lid misses by about 1/2" toward the rear of the car.
-
Buggerd rear slam panel then, always worse than they look :(
-
Yeah, and without a new one or a welder, then I cant fix it, as dont fancy trying to beat that one out!

Double Bugger

Jamie, its time for Sammy Sledge
-
One option is to push the rear panel out and fit a new boot lid and bumper....

I seem to recall Tunnie had trouble fitting one to his facelift...

Doesn't look too bad repairs as said plus check floor pan for distortion

Bottle jeck in the boot, lump of wood across the shock turrets then pump the back out again. Easy. Change boot lid, easy. Swap locks, easy. Change bumper, easy. job done. If you get the right colour - great. if not, it doesn't matter. Cheap car then.
-
Ronni has a point :-/ if you want a cheap cosmetically not perfect runabout :y

Was wondering the same thing is the floorpan mullered, as mentioned all th necessary repairs look to be doable rear bumper removal doesn't take long and I'm sure the boot lid is straight forward i swapping.
Its getting the replacement bits if you go that way thats going to be a sod.
Good luck :y

If you're not game to straighten it yourself, a body shop can. Don't need pretty, just straight enough to work. Then you can touch up the paint to avoid rust, and swap out the bits as Ronnie says.

well,
Am holding out no hope of the omega being repaired, so went and brought a cheap car to see me through (after borrowing an amount of money to pay for it).
I am now (or rather my girlfriend is now - the Omega was hers) the (proud?) owner of a 1995 N reg Cav TD.
I know its a come down, and the engine is the wrong way round, but my god is it good on fuel!!!
So, off to get some cav bits, filter, oil etc...oh and anyone know the cambelt interval on these (Isuzu engine) and is there a tensioner that needs doing is it off the water pump?
