Post by: stefy B on 31 October 2012, 01:27:08
Hi I have just bought 2002 omega 3.2 v6 the engine managment light is on I was told it was the 02 sensor. I have replaced it but the light is still on does anybody know how to fix this problem?? The car is up for mot will it fail on emissions?

Welcome to OOF  :y

Can't really help with the light, but if you do the 'pedal trick' as outlined in the maintenance guides, and post up the results, then one of the more knowledgable members will be able to help  :y

Ok thanks, car is up for mot tomarrow at 2pm I'm hoping it passes emission test. Its running rich an is using bit more petrol good point is it feels very fast to drive :) think it might fail on emissions tho :(

If its the pre cat efficiency codes bringing the light on, it won't affect the mot.

Do the pedal trick, and post up results, then we can advise.

Do NOT replace the cats without us saying so, as we know these cars better than exhaust places and backstreet garages. And dealers :P

;)
