Title: Thank God for Qi...
Post by: feeutfo on 06 November 2012, 21:08:58
...no moaning, no whinging, no negative obstructive attitudes

Just amusing banter, on interesting and unusual subjects... Of sorts.  ;D

They are currently talking about eating insects.  :-\

Well, this evening, I just watched Snakes on a Plane, which made me laugh (not sure its a comedy). I'm guessing with the blonde bird having sex in the toilet ending up with a legless reptile hanging off one of her jugs, it was recorded after 9pm.

well, now you mention it, the depression seems to have started early this year.
I wonder what people do to cheer themselves up..?

...if you'd said "watching a lumoxing posh poof host a chat show" I'd have been worried. ;D

Lately I've been watching George Clarkes amazing spaces, really enjoying it. For a good old chuckle though, I always put my Still Game DVDs on. Fantastic. Every episode makes me laugh.

Difficult, often, to find anything on worth watching most of the time. So I tend to watch a lot of films.

Snakes on a Plane - thriller, better than it sounds, quite enjoyed it

This week, I have mainly been watching...

Masterchef: The Professionals

I do a lot of cooking at home, but don't have the time to make anything fancy...plus I am usually cooking for an 11-year old and a very fussy 8-year old, so not much chance to experiment. That said, my home-made spaghetti bolognese has become legendary amongst my daughters' friends when they come round after school.  :y :y

Any Billy Connoly. Rare these days although his series was ok.
Buzz cocks. Bit too piss takey, but it tickles me.
Most of those red neck gun programmes on Discovery.
Any top gear
Qi, just right, often sends us off to sleep. Not as it's boring, like F1 ::), but because it's pleasant, relaxing amusing etc :y

Transformers, Iron man. Any sci fi, or epic blockbuster that suits a decent home cinema.

Gladiator goes on now and then. Shawshank. Green mile.

Oddly, I tried hard to acquire the band of brothers box set, did so, then only ever watched one disc. :-\

I've always struggle with most of the "Marvel Comic" films. I'll make an exception for Ironman, purely for Pepper ;)

Grand designs, it's technical, no? The farty stuff is for the girls. She likes it too, more than me. So maybe he's over doing it.

He is very direct in his questions, which makes me laugh. He can drive too.

The Big bang theory is watched every night here as the son is mad about it. I thought it was a load of old tosh at first, but I must admit it has been growing on me recently.
Was quite disappointed with the new series of The Thick of it which finished a week or so ago.Had been waiting in eager anticipation for it for a couple of years, but it seemed to have lost something in the new series.I suppose everything runs out of steam eventually.

Always make me chuckle. I'm not a physicist, but my work brings me into contact with them. They really ARE like that, it's amazing.

He annoys me. As do the self-centred, wannabe 15mins of fame people on there, coming out with crap like "its a living entity" and the house "speaks".

Even our project managers at work take long to play wnkwordbingo.

I guess it is at the posher end of the genre, unlike the usual trailer trash, starring Nick Nolte and bumchums (or knowles, whatever his name is - it matters not with both bores of a shutgun up his jacksie, which should be allowed for the sake of humanity)

I tend to like things like:

Ancient history documentaries
Science documentaries
Some of the OU stuff
"Classic comedies"
Even some of the dumbed down beeb docudramas

But Films are my thing. Thats why I gave up Sky, as it cames to £20 a month, I decided the video shop was better value. 5 films a month, more up to date than Sky's, and far more chioce, for same money. No brainer really.

Yep. Big food, spicey food, hottest whatever ever food. Food challenges basically.

He quite often fails to the hall of shame, but has made the hall of fame in many eaterys.

The food does all look very similar though, I'm noticing.
