The 19p price is somewhat out if date sadly.

Good advice though. Its worth check the Torx bolts holding the check strap mechanism in the door are sensibly tight as well. Mine where loose. It gives the same clicking.

dont no about clicking door mot fail. but from jan the mot sheet will show the last 3 years mileage .  it will catch out all those who clock there cars . great idea  but it is going to open a right can of worms
example; say you bought a car this year showing 50000 miles and then have your car mot in feb it will bring up the last milage. lets say its been clocked  so it will then show the car has done 195000    :y :y :y

They (MOT centres) always record the mileage here.

Apart from it being annoying i replaced mine as i heard on here that it was an mot fail as the door wont hold open to stop it slamming shut if the bushes are worn  :-\

Ok, that makes sence but I thought the bushes go in the end of the check link to the body???

Different fault .. although not replacing the bushes when they first start making a noise can result in the further failure of the checkstrap mechanism  which rips out of the door, which then won't stay open ..... one leads to the other eventually ....

My door bushes were changed 5/6 years ago but the clicking persisted, it still does.
