On motorway last night and felt that no heat at all in cabin, running around today very much the same. Temp seems ok, pipes all seem hot, only thing that is different when i select HI used to hear the fans increase, now the bar indication shows up but no speed up, works on chilling it though. No work done in engine bay to disturb anything. Tred using ECO and Auto various selections only got a flow of tepid air. Till yeaterday it used to blast out including the rear passenger vents.

Fan rheostat? A fiddle and quite expensive to replace iirc, i am sure someone with more knowledge will be along to confirm...... :y

What sort of temp should show on the temp gauge ? just a thought as had stat probs a few wweks back with the lPG, tried a known good second hand one and cured the LPG woes but sits at just over 80, is it time to put brand new one on?

If fan speed doesn`t increase I`d suspect resistor as Vamps says. "Normal" running temp should be mid-gauge (F/L instruments around 85-88)

Ok I am happy with temp reading but putting fan speed aside surly that would not account for the suden drop in temp or would it?. Any post of how to do on the resistor? Goint to do more looking today now its daylight.

All sorted and before anyone askes what did you do, the answer is not a lot, fans seem ok on their own and I suspected an air lock, so ran car up a steep slope, coolant cap off then ran it for 5 minutes, several large bubbles burts in header tank and all seems ok now
