Title: Ouch!
Post by: TheBoy on 27 April 2008, 21:31:19
As some of you know, I managed to thump myslef in the face yesterday.  Got to own up, I felt it.  And the swelling affected my vision.

Anyway, tried to sleep on the other side of my face last night, but must have rolled over, as I woke up in a bit of pain.

Then, when playing with the cars in the sunshine, the flies were annoying me, kept landing on my face.  So a slapped one. Yup, you guessed it, right where I'd hit myself yesterday.  That bloody smarted  :-[

Witchhazel (available at most pharmacies) soaked into a cottonwool pad is good at drawing-out bruises/reducing swelling around the eye....and soothing the pain too.
Old-fashioned remedy, but works really well!  ;)

When I go in to work on Tuesday, its going to be 'I walked into a door' (got a bruised, swollen area just above cheekbone, looks like I've been lumped)

I don't do medication - a bit of pain never hurt anyone ;D

No one is gonna believe that  ;D

Id go for albitz's idea......although they probably wont believe that either  ;D

So id go for the truth......so far fetched they never reckon you made that up.......and believe you  :y

Only had a couple last night, small bottles at that.  One of those nights when they just weren't going down nicely.

if you get yourself on the other side of your face too you could convince friends and colleagues you were going for that 'adam ant' look

stand and deliver etc...
