Didn't you get the memo? Fuel tax is cheaper than it's ever been thanks to the lack of duty rises in the last two years, they've been doing us a favour all this time and it's about time we paid our way!

 ;)

Not necessarily, the vote last night was labour trying to FORCE the change on the government .. the Government have resisted that and stuck by the "normal" procedure of announcing such changes in the "Autumn Statement".

If they don't change it .. Labour will accuse them of not being in contact with "the people"

If they do change it... Labour will claim it is because of their "pressure"

Purely a political stunt, no more, no less .. but boy does it sell newspapers as all the headlines can be manipulated to make the Tory's look bad.... when all they are doing is actaully following the "rules" that Labour set down when in power.

Yet again Miliband proves to be the world's biggest hypocrite.

I cannot see how it will be politically sensible or wise for the Coalition to let the 3p increase go through.

Ironically though due to a supermarket war, here in Ashford Sainsbury's are down to 133.9p per litre when it had hit 137.9p.  The affect on all local garages that I have noticed has been a very positive dr5op in their prices as well :D :y

Yep, down to 133.9p here most places, too .. I caught myself thinking "Ooh, that's cheap" the other day.

I promptly castigated myself for thinking something so absurd.

As long as they won't be joining the OPEC price fixing cartel intergovernmental organisation.

I had to go to a local Total garage, which I have never used before as I only had 20 miles left in the petrol tank.
There signs are very confusing, both pumps are labelled 'Premium unleaded'....so which one is the cheaper low octane version??
I picked which I thought was the 95 octane pump and started to fill her up. After I few seconds I noticed I had picked the 'real' premium unleaded pump...............................£164.9p per litre >:( >:( :o :o  So only £10 went in and I went to another garage. What a rip off. I will never visit a Total garage again. :'(

Tesco put most our local filling stations out of business in our local area and on their own admission they are now the most expensive Tesco filling station in the UK due to lack of local competition.  >:( >:( >:( >:(

Our local garage is normally 1p/l more and is currently £136.9/l for unleaded and £144.9 for diesel.  >:( >:( >:(

Aaron and others  in the Bracknell area.

Be aware there is a toe rage that is  cutting fuel lines  to steal whatever you have in your tank. This is according to the local free paper that comes through the door.
