Title: damsel in distress

hi, please help: omega gls needs new hrv (the heating valve thing) as only blowing cold air! :( useless at anything car related, is there anyone near me in tunbridge wells that can fit it for me???? also radio/cd needed (to buy and to be fitted!!) thanks chaps and chapessess!!! 8)

Heater bypass valve you mean ( HBV )  :y sure someone will be along soon who maybe able to help in that area , not a big job  :)

If you have a reasonable understanding of car mechanics and have basic tools to remove the plenum and disconnect / connect the HBV.

The HBV is situated usually at the rear of the drivers side cylinder bank.  It is just a fiddly job, but with the plenum out of the way the removal and refitting is straightforward enough.

I will try and find a picture of my last HBV replacement.

  HBV not hrv, sorry!!!!

thanks hun, but there's no way i can do this!!! will buy the part and try and find someone locally to fit it xxx

went this morning, lovely chaps!! they tipped me off about the hbv, will buy one, and then get it fitted. least then wont be ripped off xxx :-*

Ah, that's a shame. Bit too far over for me to travel over at the moment :(.
