I still tend to find that it takes me 2 or 3 goes to place a photo on, using photobucket, even though I have done loads, still seems to be a different link each time..... ::) ::) ::)

TRIED--my lad spent over an hour trying allsorts-I dont know I just build v8s and old cars mate-He said ***** it and went out-cant blame him modern tech is so b/s mate give me lo tech anyday=simples

Lets assume he has got back to the old system....all you do is put your mouse over a pic, it will come up with a blue box round it. Click on the little box in the corner to put a tick in it.. Then scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'choose actions'. Then click 'Generate html link'. In the box that appears, left click on Full size images for forums. It will turn yellow and say 'copied'. Then go to this forum, open where you want to put your pic, right click, then click 'paste'
That should be it :y
Persevere mate...done once, and it will be a piece of p*ss
-
Nope. easiest way, hover cursor over pic, in the dropdown click IMG code, pic is then copied. On forum thread, type your reply or whatever then right click & paste, job done

Ive been using the new layout but do prefer the old layout they had , only thing i dont like is having to make folders :( Scrolling your pics on the old system was much easier . When first logging on the site gave me option to use old system but cant find it now :-\
-
I find its dead easy, all you have to do is grab the URL (http:\\www......)
Press the picture button (one directly above smiley face)
Then paste in the URL?
I've personally never liked photobucket, I prefer dropbox :y

That's exactly what happened to me :y :y
I just requested I revert to the old style as I told them the new layout was "too complicated".

Switch back to the original Photobucket in small blue print banner top right of Main Beta Page.
Only difference I could find is Beta does not let you get IMG when hovering over the thumb nails you have to go the each picture in turn.

Click the box should copy the code? (to clip board ? )

Unlike many forums, we do not allow attachments (including pictures) on our servers :-[
Why? In a nutshell, cost :-[
We insist OOF is equally free to all, and free of sponsorship/sponsored advertising. Which ultimately means our income to fund the running of the site is extremely limited. Whilst we have some pretty innovative ways of running it on a shoestring, compromises have to be made, and attachments is one.
Thus we require members to find alternatives to hosting pictures. Photobucket is recommended for speed/reliability/security, as its leagues ahead of imgshack, flickr, dropbox and so on. OK, the new layout takes some relearning, but it works well :y
