Title: West Yorkshire key programming
Post by: tobyd10 on 19 November 2012, 16:44:54
Hi,
My local dealer has quoted me for a key 85.00 plus vat and takes 2 working days and to program key is 35.00 plus vat.
Wondered whether the cheaper keys with a virgin chip on ebay are ok and is there anyone near Brighouse, west yorkshire that can programme cheaper?
Thanks
Toby

Keys can be got off the bay very cheap, and blank ones can be encoded. You just need to have you car pass, but you need that with any key you want to program.

Closes Admin we have with tech2 would be MarksDTM in Nottingham  :y

Just to clarify - are there 2 bits to programme in a key - immobilser and remote locking frequency or is it all tied together?
I have bought this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261133385724?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 and this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261102429941?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 so will I need anything else other thansomeone to programme it? cheers toby

I was quoted £64 to supply and code a new remote for my F/L. Parts are in stock, and he said, "bring it anytime, and we'll code the spare remote(which works but isn't for my car) at the same time."
