Title: Newbie
Post by: 460coupe on 20 November 2012, 20:58:43
Hi all,
Will I get lynched or not...... Got a 69 Scimitar GTE I am updating, was looking for  damaged V6 Omega found a mint 51' 2.6 CD in a breaker the owners wanted rid of but would not allow back on the road due to a death in the Family, so the GTE is getting engine, box, rad, Wiring loom, power windows, central locking the lot from the Omega.      I'll be spending a lot of time in the tech section.
Had an MV6 before & will have again next year at some point, Forum looks great I'let you all get on................Regards    John R

Sounds like an intresting project! Apart from the V6 one on here, there was also a straight 6 diesel Omega-Scimitar in a magazine a couple of years back.

Cheers Guys
Busy Oh yes, nuts and bolts bits is easy enough, electrics is going to be a pain,
love the rover Symes, whats it run Chevy?, the GTE once had a 460 Ford mocked in between the rails until the reality of running the thing sunk in, seen the other GTE some good work going on there, couldn't bring myself to put an Oil burner in it,
Question of the day , is the 2.6 as reliable as the 3.0 & 3.2 ?
