Yep.
-
Damn >:( so how do garages get round it then when they advertise their garage, i.e Perrys in the footer?
-
You sure :-\ they seem to have the BS number on the rhs bottom corner...
-
i was thinking of getting new plates for her and this website i found allows you to choose wether to have the legal details in the bottom rh corner or not.
Its the footer im more concerned about
-
ahh, ive just found my answer at the bottom of this page > http://www.platesforcars.co.uk/legal_guidelines.html
-
Mine came via eBay & have nothing at the foot ...... never been a problem at MOT time though.
-
You must have the suppliers name & postcode at the bottom of the plates for them to be legal. For example BMW plates come with BMW (UK) RG12 8TA, Vauxhall in Canterbury use PERRY'S CT2 0EZ. Then the obvious BSAU145d :y.

So summat like 'TVP OX26 2ZA' would be perfectly acceptable on a newly made set...

If TVP were the suppliers, yes of course :y.

Technically, there's a suppliers name and postcode on the plates, now whether the plates were on the car when you bought it are a different matter ::) :y.

::) :-X

::) :-X
But of course they were on there, you have many witnesses for that ;).
-
It wasn't that one I was thinking of... ::)
-
If it was me-Bang em on :y at least not dodgy spaced digits Also Black range rover vogue by me has Black plates=well illegal unless pre march 1973 :y
-
I buy my plates from a local factor and because I have the license required to sell plates they have to have my name and postcode on them :y
-
I think they're legal as long as the maker and BS are on there too, but I'd have to check ::)
EDIT: Just read the link... I didn't think there was any ruling on footers yet :-\
