Saw the footage several times on Sunday and Ferrari were adamant that it was oil flags at the time ::)

No way to win the championship though :-X

They could save a lot of petrol if they just let the lawyers decide the result without bothering to run the race. ::)

That link shows a different overtake, not Kobi. However looks like green at the time of overtaking?

At the time he overtakes Vergne there are definitely 3 yellow flashing warning signs with the yellow flag indicator on his steering wheel after he passes the first one. Just after the overtake he passes a green light on his left and the lights go out on his steering wheel, only now is it OK to overtake.
The argument is that a marshall on the left just before the Johnnie Walker bridge is waving a green flag (although I can't see it) and that flag takes precedence over the track side lights and as Vettel passed Vergne after the bridge then this is a legal move.

I doubt that the FIA will do anything, they have let Red Bull i.e Adrian Newey bend the rules for the last 3 seasons and if the roles were reversed then they certainly wouldn't punish Ferrari.

Just as an aside, the thing I don't understand is that an illegal car can run until the irregularities are discovered by the FIA and the culprit must remove the offending parts, after a protracted argument. Why is there no punishment for the time the car was running illegally and race results removed?

Difficult one IMO. Iirc Vetal did wait for a green after a yellow. He then overtook Bashi who seemed to move over for Seb. :-\

The flags then turned yellow again at the next marshal station. Too late. No?

They should let it go IMO.

The overtake that is in question is the Torro Rosso of Vergne

The ones againg Pic and Kobayashi are legal
