This looks very comfy inside :) RIGHT HAND DRIVE V8 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/cadillac-STS-northstar-32v-V8-auto-uk-supplied-RHD-model-fully-loaded-/181036443193?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2a269ce639)

lot of car for the money. Same thing in Spain would be £5k
I like the way the guy keeps stressing very economical in the ad.
I wonder what gearbox it has?
-
It looks very well put together , not the usual american cheap look interior ...
-
Shame it's FWD. :(
-
That looks really tasty! :-* :-* :y
-
Transverse north star front wheel drive, I wonder how long an auto box option would last in that?
-
the autobox is good for 150,000 miles plus,16 mpg on gas (do not believe the bo**ox on mpg that sellers claim) 20 mpg on a run +tailwind. 0-60 mph sub 7 seconds.unfortunately the only thing my sts can outcorner is my p38 ;D. excellent motorway cruiser tho. :y

Halifax? Run away!
;)

Oh dear, I'm strangely drawn to it. :-\

Yeah i was , kind of omegaish luxury with 2 more pots :-\
-
I just know that if I bought it, I'd come outside the next morning and find a puddle of oil the size of lake Ontario underneath it. Then I'd be forced to sell it the very next day for £150. :'( :'(
It's sure to be a money pit. :-[

It should have a warranty with it , 1 month minimum :-\

I'll wager it covers SFA. :(

clever piece of kit, when cruising it cuts 4 cylinders to save fuel, then restarts them and cuts the other 4 cylinders, to even out the heat cycle, driven normally 30 is easily achievable, now becoming very popular as a transplant motor :y
-
later ones could even go rear-wheel-drive, but probably not this one....
-
Always liked these. This one looks a nice example :y

never heard of that one,i am aware that it is capable of running without coolant(camel mode)by running on four cylinders at a time and using the other four cylinders to cool itself.headbolts are the weakspot, they pull out of the block.just about any job on the engine will require the lump to be removed, allow about 7 to 8 hours for this.as a ps i have lived with one of these for the last 4 years, there is no way you will get 30 mpg.
-
Its got a sort of Senator look to it :y Shame its FWD though :-\
-
My mates dad had one of these, they are horrible, american pile of nastyness.

Oops .... thats put a nail in it :-\

I thought that this was one of those engines that run on only half of its cylinders. Quite a good way to help out with the fuel consumption.

No, they dont cut 4 cylinders to save fuel - Only when in 'camel mode' as said earlier.
Nasty NASTY interior. Sluggish considering it has a V8. The Transmission is a complete let down.
I was really looking forward to stepping into one of these as two friends have them, but after driving a couple, they are not nice machines at all.
This is a genuine Cadillac sold RHD from the factory for the UK market. Just a shame they didn't do it with the later centre console.

Also, there aren't many about, but those listed are way overpriced.
There is one for sale in Bristol (I know the car) in a gay Champagne colour for £570. There is nothing wrong with it except a cracked rear bumper.
And if you are interested in one, check your insurer first! My V8 e39 costs less than half to insure than the best quote I got for the STS.
