As in the grey/orange push buttons on the drivers and passenger doors that lock the car, mine are rattling like crazy and its driving me mad!
Is there any reason why their rattling? Is there a fix for it or would new replacement buttons fix this issue?

Pop the pins off, a couple of turns of black insulation tape around the base and pop back on. Or alternatively, swap the door cards with early facelift ones, but keep the later pins. Done this to mine and no rattling at all :y
Well nothing from the doors ::)

I'll give that a go over the weekend, cheers Al :y

most of the time when the door pins start rattling it is due to to the top plastic strip inside top of door card coming unstuck, when you take doorcard off have a look for this first, if it is flapping around get some decent glue and restick, this will stop pins rattling :)

Ime the only way to stop the rattle long term is to bend the metal rod the pin sits on, to take out the play.
Even replacing the felt Sorrounding the pin in the door card orifice doesn't last long. Ask TB.

So if I take a pair of pump pliers and bend it slightly, it should cure it without having to take the doorcard off?

Hooligan! ;D
But yes, extreme care though. Safe option is to remove the door card although there are risks to that too, with plastic top strip coming adrift as said above.
I'd suggest opening the window fully, and bend the lock pin outboard/towards the glass BY HAND first while stood outside the car, and see how you go. That way scratching or snapping the pin is less likely than with pliers. Use pliers with a rag only if more leverage is needed.
You only need enough to stop the rattle when locked and unlocked. Don't want to add any resistance for the door lock motors to have to overcome.
NOTE I'VE ONLY DONE ONE OF MINE BY BENDING VIA THE PIN. You'll be trying this at your own risk to an extent, damage COULD result. I don't know for sure.

I have a theory that the stupidly expensive (£22!) clip doesn't hold the plastic with felt insert. I was going to try a blob of glue next time doorcard is off.

Mine started doing this after fitting polys, don't know if it's related. I cured it now the bloody mirror adjustment button is doing it. All I want is piece and quiet

Thanks for the detailed reply Chris :y

I put some foam recently to my drivers door, in between the rod and door, just a small piece but enough to keep the rod from vibrating and thus making the car nice and silent :y If I remember correct there is a piece of foam originally also, on the door card though... ???
