Title: Problem with e-brake
Post by: supersaw on 08 December 2012, 15:42:11
Hi fellas ;)
My 95' (2ltr 16v + LPG) omega has severe problem with e-brake.
My tech-guy removed completely e-brake system from omega because there was all covered in rust and was making problems.
Tech-guy said, that the main problem is with this ring because there no new rings on the market, and aftermarket rings are also in bad condition etc.

So, If it is there a new whole e-brake kits on the market with these rings ? What I should do, to solve this e-brake problem ? Thanks

There isn't much left is there? the rest of the backplate is presumably still attached to the rear hub :-\

Your Tech guy is wrong. At the time of posting GM have 3249 LHR Back Plates in Stock & 3351 RHR back plates in stock in European warehouses

The Opel KAT Numbers are 5 43 081 for the LHR & 5 43 082 for the RHR. Although as already said try and get a couple of good arms
