Hi guys, another question from this newbie!
I have a slight misfire on my Elite so yesterday had a look at the plugs and leads. I found that the first two spark plug chambers on the left (looking from the front) were full of oil. The back chamber had some oil but not nearly as much. I ran out of light about 4 pm so have not checked the right side yet but am expecting similar. I've read thru a few of the posts regarding this and will do some of the suggested fixes.
My question really is, what is the worst case scenario I might be facing?
The car is a 1999 model with 105k on the clock.
Thanks,
Dave.

Cam cover gaskets failed.
MUST use genuine gaskets, and MUST precisely follow fitting instructions

As said sounds like both cam cover seals are leaking, probably as a cause of breather system becoming blocked.
Replace with genuine GM ..excellent write up in maintenance section, and above all ensure the breather system is clear and clean or you will be doing job again in a short time.
Worse case scenario is the plug leads have been roasted in the oil so you may also require new lead set.Worth replacing all 6 plugs whilst covers are removed as much easier access.
