Title: wheel nuts

Hi guys can you tell me if i need a special tool to take of the wheel nuts i have a facelift yr 2000 2.2 auto fitted with alloy wheels thank migman ;)

Just a deep 17mm socket or the wheel brace that Vauxhall put in the boot.  ;) ;) ;)

You might have a locking wheel nut though :-\

Aye, depends if you have a locking wheelbolt, in which case you (ideally) need the correct key.

It depends if you have locking wheel bolts or not.  You'll probably have plastic caps over them, so you need to pull them off to see the bolts.  The standard bolts are 17mm.  If one on each wheels looks different, then they'll be the security locking ones, which you should have an adaptor for.

If you don't have the adaptor, then the fun and games will start.

When I got my bargain a few months ago there was no locking nut tool with the car so had to get new one with new bolts £30 from dealer. to get them off you need to get a small cold chisel and break the outer ring off first then hammer an impact socket onto the remaining nut and then it should come off  :y
