Title: I'm New But Not A Noob

Hello everyone,

I'm a Canadian who just bought a Cadillac Catera about a month ago and so far I love it. I joined here because it looks
like a great forum for these cars. My Catera is a re-badged Opel Omega and from what I have read is almost exactly the
same except for some body modifications and the radio.

The car is a 1999, 3.0L DOHC with 159,000KMs on it. I paid $1000 (£627.16, €771.63), so I am happy that I got a good deal.
There is very minor rust on it, a couple of spots around the wheel wells and one along the passenger door bottom.

I had to replace the rear pads and discs and I need new rear shocks, rear coils, a front ball joint and possibly an
alternator rebuild, but other than that, the car is in excellent shape.

After putting in new spark plugs and doing an oil change and all the other stuff I mentioned, I figure I will be into
the car for around $1600 (£1003.32, €1234.60).

I love the automatic climate control and the heated seats. Comes in very handy during a cold Canadian Winter.

I would love to get some HIDs (maybe Angel Eyes) for the car as I find they look so much better than the conventional lights on the car.

One thing I've noticed,...whenever they slip up and put the steering wheel on the wrong side, rather than scrap them, they palm them off abroad ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
