Hi all. Just had lots of work done on my miggy (stuff I can't do myself) and am now looking forward to doing the things I'm confident enough to do. However (lol!) after I had collected the car from the garage and taken her to get the tracking done I thought I'd run her through a car wash. As I drove my nice clean car along I heard water literally pouring into the passenger footwell!
I got the car home and had a look under the bonnet to see if any drain plugs were blocked but have not found anything so far. I had a look down below the pollen filter and that was full of soapy water!
Has anyone found this before and could perhaps give me any clues as to why the water is not running away through drain channels or plugs?
Thanks guys,
Dave.

Hello. I had this prob with mine but it also went in the back rear passenger at first i thought it was the mattrix until i see the pond on the rear floor so i checked the drainage and the one under the front passanger window was like a pond so i poke a mettal rod down there and it drained it out it was full of mud and leafs then flushed it through. Hope this helps

common problem the pollen filter drain has to be kept clear of rubbish it builds up quite quickly I now check mine at least once per month. Thought about removing the rubber plug on a permanent basis to overcome this. Not a good time for drying out carpets. This problem can also destroy the hedgehog controller on the air circ system so check drain regularly

Thanks for all your suggestions and remedies guys, I followed all your advice and it is now draining freely. It was so full that when I removed the plug in the wheel arch I got soaked lol!

Remove passenger side scuttle, and pollen filter. I use a long welding rod to poke down the drain (on left hand side of pollen filter when standing at front of car) - could also use a straightened wire coat hanger ;)

A length of 6mm twin and earth does a good job as well :y
