As title says I'm after a good pair of extended mirrors for caravan towing :y
-
Best I've found for the Omega are "Milenco Aero" around £40 - 45 new... IMHO the "grand aero" are too big and vibrate too much.
HTH :)

A legal requirement ...... if towing something wider than the tow car. ::)
-
Another vote for them, although I ended up with a different model (rectangular mirrors) but fit the same way and superb :y Also has the advantage that they don't obscure the car mirrors so you can adjust them to give additional vision low down when in confined spaces :y

Besides being illegal then, how do you see around the burger van, for simple things like overtaking on a motorway? ::)

I know they are a legal requirement, I personally hate seeing two of everything either side of the car. Omega mirrors are big enough to see either side of most caravans in my opinion but obviously opinions will differ. Never had any problem overtaking on a motorway as you would find out if you ever towed a burger van caravan

Have towed a van few times, but not in an Omega. But I did use mirror extenders, double view did not really bother me.
What did bother me was fracking great big thing on tow bar slowing me down ;D
-
Need a DTi or a 3.2 to tow with... you won't know it's there then! ;D

Never been a problem, you just get used to where you should be looking ....... practice by using them ;) ;)

It's the width of the towcar that matters, not the size of the mirrors. My R Class is somewhat wider overall than the Omega, but using extended mirrors still allows you to see that bit further behind you than without. You need extended mirrors to see behind you properly!
