There has been speculation in various threads recently on here on who is going to go down. So lets make our predictions and see who is the closest in May:
1. Man United
2. Man City
3. Chelsea
4. Spurs
18. Aston Villa or Southampton
19. QPR
20. Reading
Arsenal will finish 5th and end up in the Europa cup, Wigan will do a Houdini again. I've hedged my bets on 18th as Aston Villa or Southampton is too close to call and will probably be decided on who they buy or loan in the current transfer window.
-
Oh....you silly boy Rods. I'm not going to venture an opinion but, you can be sure, I will dig this thread up in May. ;D

I just hope Southampton manage to stay up (oh err) We are getting better, we managed a draw against Arsenal and Stoke.
Possibly if we can add a new goalie and a left back we will survive.
Considering our double promotion we are not doing to bad IMHO.
Top of the table I think will go to City.

Oh no you won't :y :y :y

Villa are going down. Traditionally, they fall apart this time of year, and this year their defence is more fragile than an NCDC laser.

Sorry TB but not even thinking of it, positive thoughts.

so how are we measuring up with these?
Reading beating Newcastle so far. Can they clime out?
-
Well, this seems to be shaping up nicely so far. Reading 4th from bottom, villa heading south, Southampton might head south with the new manager...
...and at the top a lot hinges on tomorrow's game between Tottenham and Man Utd. As if spurs loose Everton get closer to 4th from the top.
Interesting. :)
-
Out the bottom three now Chris.
God wish the season would end now.
-
No not yet, not so easy. ;D

Good win for Reading today. They are now in touch with those above the bottom 3. :y

Aston Booer must have had a late kick off, they drew with West Booers Albion, so a point gets the Booers above Reading again.
I suppose 2-2 against Albion is a good result for Villa these days?
-
This is worrying. Utd have scored first. I hate it when they do that. :-\
-
Yep, I was afraid of that. :-\
-
Yep, I was afraid of that. :-\
Good game would of been harsh on Spurs had they came away with nothing they took the game to you for most parts, Manchini will be happy at the gap getting closer, and i certanly will got £20 riding on Man City to win the league with a Man Utd fan i gladly took from last season. :y :y
-
Yep, I was afraid of that. :-\
It was always going to be a tricky away match.
-
If spurs had scored first in the first half we would have won.
Defending a one goal lead has never been a strong point for Utd.

And in such circumstances Spurs do have form for conceding a few goals to United in the 2nd half. :y :y :y

I missed the cast iron, stone clad penalty that wasn't btw. Sigh...

Ah, that's annoying. The columns all line up perfectly in the reply page, but dont when posted. :(
Anyway, can see the positions if nothing else.
London Darby tomorrow. 2-1 to Tottenham. I reckon. ;)
-
Man U 4 - 0 Norwich.
Bring on Madrid. ;D
-
Doesn't look as if my predictions are going to be a million miles away. I can't see QPR or Reading now escaping relegation.
-
1. Man United
2. Man City
3. Chelsea
4. Everton
18. Southampton
19. QPR
20. Aston Villa
Not a bad shout Rods. Sure I put Tottenham in the top 4. Clearly not. :(
-
There's still time for Arsenal to sneak into the top 4... ;)
-
I agree I think 3 / 4 places are between Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal. This and who gets third place in the relegation battle can't be called yet, but I will stick by my predictions.
-
You did cheat a bit on the relegation call.... ::)
-
Yep, that's cos my head said Southampton and heart AV. ::)
-
Thought I would bring this one back up. Remember all your predictions of Southampton being relegated ;D well they have managed to survive. Hopefully next season will bring them a bit more success :y
Sad for Reading, I will allways have soft spot for Nigel.
Feel really sory for Wigan, they have done so well on such a limited budget.
As for qpr, I could not be happier, redknap gets another club relegated. How many is it now 4 ?
-
The Villa survive yeha :y :y :y :y
