He's fitting a new screen in the wife's car. Arrived at 12:50, all the trim, wipers, scuttle, interior mirror with wiring for rain sensor, etc off and old screen out already. 20 mins.....good going. Looks like I may have got a good 'un. I will report his progress.
-
New screen beaded, mastic applied and in. I thought this would take much longer. I won't count my chickens just yet. :)
-
No interior trim removed?
Old screen taken out with a knife and not a cheese wire?
Chisel on the old bonding?
Yeh, great job, I bet they even leave bits of masking tape at the corners when finished to keep it in place!
Did you know that car manufacturers wont cover corrosion warranty on that area of the car after a screen change and particularly if not done to manufacturers guidelines (they never are!)
-
He has done evrything he is supposed to do, as far as I can see peeping through the blinds ;D
I just didn't bother listing the little bits as I didn't know you were online to critisize the poor lad.
He'sgot a big hammer and chisel out now ::)

So cynical at such a young age Mark. You'll end up like me if you're not careful, lad. ;D
-
Anyway...back to matter in hand. All the trim back on and he's filled the sensor with very runny stuff which will take a while to reach the desired consistency....apparently.

He never had a pair in the first place.

Hes jizzing in the car now!
-
wait till it rains to see how good it is
-
All done. Even tested the rain sensor with a squirty bottle. 1 hour, pretty good :y
And, r1, stop being so pessimistic. I'm sure it will be fine. I think hope. :-\
-
If it leaks, it might wash the jizz away.... :)
-
Take no notice of these p*sstakers Steve, congratulate the lad on a job well done, make him a cuppa and offer him a bowl of warm water to relieve his
wonkers cramp tired hand/s in :y
