Title: Automatic Gearbox Problem
Post by: clachuk on 14 January 2013, 16:30:21
Hi, I have Omega 2.2 Petrol, and have problems with auto gearbox. Sometimes all the lights on the selector are lit up and occasionally the wrong light shows. Also, when cold the gearbox keeps slipping into safe mode ie sticks in 3rd. When warm operates ok. Any suggestions pleas? >:(

Most likely what Rob said. It would be good to read the fault codes.

If you can pop it down to Gloucester I'll have an initial look FOC. If it's the selector switch, I wouldn't charge you much at all to clean or change it.

Cheers,
James

I am jumping in on this thread as my dads car needs the same thing done but one question , when it is dried out and cleaned do you have to lube the plastic selector pawl with any type of grease before re assy.?
